General
What is musicjunki.es?
musicjunki.es is a local music platform where artists, bands, and communities share videos and updates, climb city charts, run events, and receive fan support — with donations paid directly to creators via their own payment wallet.
Who is it for?
Music creators and their fans — solo artists, bands, DJs, producers, community curators, and local scenes. Pages and content must be music-related.
X-rated or inappropriate pages and content may be removed without notice.
Why should I use it?
One place to promote locally, sync content from social channels, join communities, and (on paid plans) accept donations without the platform holding your money.
Free artist page to start — no credit card.
City portals and charts surface your videos locally.
Paid plans unlock donations, band pages, events, and community earnings.
Pages
What page types exist?
Member, artist, band, and community pages — each with a public URL on musicjunki.es.
Artist page — your main profile (everyone starts here).
Band page — optional group page; 1 included on Free (same as artist).
Community page — a hub for a scene, collective, or venue network (community plan).
Member page — your personal member profile on the platform.
Who can create an artist or band page?
Registered users with a complete profile. Artist pages are for individual creators; band pages are for groups — no artist page required first.
Use a verifiable artist or band name — no generic categories, cities, or impersonation.
What do I need before joining a portal or community?
Your page must be complete enough to represent you professionally:
At least one connected social network (e.g. YouTube).
Profile photo and short description.
Music-related public content.
Events
What are events on musicjunki.es?
Public event pages for gigs, showcases, festivals, and community listings — each with its own URL, lineup, venue details, and optional ticketing or donations.
Who can create events?
You need an artist, band, or community page you own. Create events from the CMS and attach them to that page.
Artist or band page — list your own shows and tours.
Community page — promote roster gigs and scene listings.
Fans can RSVP and discover events through portals and community hubs.
Which plans include events?
Event tools depend on your plan:
Starter / Pro — events on artist and band pages, plus pay-what-you-want donations when payments are enabled.
Community Basic / Pro — community events, roster, and portal promotion.
Expert bundle — Pro pages plus community events in one renewal.
Free — no paid event donations; upgrade when you want to monetize.
See /info/pricing for current plan features.
How do event payments work?
Choose how fans pay or support your show:
Free entrance — no payment setup required.
External ticket link — send fans to your existing ticket shop.
Pay what you want — donations via your OPP wallet (paid artist, band, or community plan).
Paid event donations require a completed OPP wallet on a monetized page slot.
Can I manage lineup and tickets?
Yes. Add artists to the lineup, invite connected pages, track RSVPs, and (where enabled) sell or check in tickets from the event CMS.
Portals
What is a city portal?
City portals group local artists, videos, and charts by location. When your artist or band page qualifies, your content can appear in the portal for your city.
How do I show up in city charts?
Publish videos on your page, connect to your city, and encourage fans to boost and donate. Boosts and engagement improve your ranking in local charts and portal lists.
Monetization
When can I accept donations on my page?
On a paid Starter or Pro plan, after you complete Online Payment Platform (OPP) onboarding. Donations go to your own OPP wallet — not to musicjunki.es.
Free plan — no donations.
Starter — donations enabled; 30% platform fee per donation.
Pro — donations enabled; €0.20 fixed platform fee per donation.
How do artist & band page slots work?
Paid slots control which pages can monetize (donations and paid events):
Free — 1 artist page + 1 band page.
Starter / Pro — 1 artist + 1 band page slot each.
Expert bundle — Pro pages + 1 community page in one renewal.
Add-ons — extra artist, band, or community slots (€48/year each).
See /info/pricing for current plan prices.
How do community plans work?
Community Basic (50 members) and Community Pro (150 members) give you a standalone community hub — roster, events, portal promotion — without needing your own artist page.
Community Pro adds donations and advanced analytics.
Expert bundle includes Pro (artist/band) plus a community at half the standalone community price.
What is the member kickback program?
Community owners earn revenue share when artist/band members on Starter or Pro subscribe while connected to their hub — either a referral kickback (new upgrade) or a member wallet share (already paid).
Referral kickback
When a member was free (or new) and upgrades to a paid artist plan while connected to your community:
Starter — up to €12 year 1, then €8, then €4/year.
Pro — up to €24 year 1, then €16, then €8/year.
Locked to the community they were connected to at first paid purchase.
Member wallet share
When a member was already on a paid artist plan before joining your community, you receive €4/year total (2 slots × €2). Slots fill in join order; a third community earns nothing until a slot frees up.
Do paid artists share subscription fees with communities?
Yes — on Starter or Pro, up to €4/year of the member's subscription is shared with their first two connected communities (€2/year each), in chronological join order. Your dashboard shows which communities receive support.
When are kickbacks paid out?
Kickbacks reserve when a member pays, clear after 3 months, then pay out quarterly. If a member churns before clearing completes, that reservation is cancelled.
Community-plan purchases do not pay kickback. Owners cannot earn kickback from their own artist/band pages on their own community.
Social Networks
Which social networks can I connect?
Connect profiles you use professionally for music promotion:
YouTube — sync music videos to your artist or band page.
More networks (Instagram, Vimeo, etc.) are planned.
How do I manage synced content?
We only fetch public content from connected networks. Update or remove posts at the source network; changes sync on the next fetch. Disconnecting pauses new updates — existing content remains until you remove it.
What happens to my data if I disconnect or delete?
Disconnecting stops new syncs. Deleting your account removes your page data from our servers. See our privacy policy for full details.
How to's
How do I get started?
Register free, complete your member profile (avatar + city), then create your artist page from the dashboard.
Connect YouTube and add photo + bio.
Share your public URL and join city portals or communities.
Upgrade to Starter or Pro when ready to monetize.
How do I upgrade and set up payments?
Choose a plan under Billing, complete OPP merchant onboarding (your own wallet), and confirm checkout. Bank verification may take 1–2 business days; your wallet can receive donations once live.
How do I create a community hub?
Choose Community Basic or Pro (or an Expert bundle if you also need artist/band pages), create your community page, then invite or approve artist and band members for your roster.
Account
How do I manage my subscription?
Open Billing in the member CMS (Plan tab) to view your plan, upgrade, downgrade at renewal, or buy add-ons. Invoices are on the Invoices tab.
How do I delete my account?
Contact support or use account settings in the member CMS. Deletion removes your data from our servers; active subscriptions should be cancelled first.
Can I get a refund?
No refunds if you cancel before your billing period ends. Downgrades apply at renewal unless you choose immediate switch where offered.
